I’m Lisa Larter, and you must be an entrepreneur, small business owner or someone who is just curious.

I help businesses navigate modern entrepreneurship so that they can increase sales and profits. What the heck does that mean?

In essence, it means everything from business strategy, understanding your numbers and measuring what matters, to online marketing, social media and the best way to turn connections into paying customers.

You see, I believe business is all about the numbers and that you need to take lots of action in order to make things happen. I also believe that if someone else can do it, so can you and I — which is why I have gone from being a high school drop-out who could only get a job working in retail, to successfully building, scaling, and leading many of my own businesses.

I worked my way up the corporate retail ladder until 2006 when my own entrepreneurial spirit took over. I opened my first retail store, Parlez Wireless, an Authorized TELUS dealership, and then sold it in 2012 because I was so busy helping other business owners design successful and profitable businesses that I no longer had time to I love retail, customer experiences, big hairy audacious sales goals, and most importantly making a difference.

When one of my clients tells me she added $100K in sales during six months we worked together that makes me light up and feel amazing to see others get such incredible results. When another client takes me out to celebrate the first time she crossed the $500K mark, I beam like a proud parent.
I live for moments like this.

Once, I said to someone who used to work with me that I wasn’t a coach. She stopped me and laughed and said “Are you serious, Lisa, you can’t help but coach everyone you come into contact with.” That was a ‘aha’ moment for me! It’s great to build a business and a life doing something you love that comes natural to you.

I am the founder of The Pilot to Profit Success System, a business program that thousands of business owners have gone through to better understand how to build their business. We cover things like money and numbers, content creation, how to sell, and how to best leverage social media to expand your reach.

I am known for my no-nonsense approach to helping business owners get results. You won’t get fluff from me, only the facts and an expectation that if you really want your business to grow, you will dig in and do the work.

Highlights of my life have been meeting Oprah Winfrey, helping Deepak Chopra navigate Facebook, being chosen to speak a number of times at the eWomenNetwork International Conference and Business Expo. And, most recently, completing my first book Pilot to Profit: Navigating Modern Entrepreneurship to Build Your Business Using Online Marketing, Social Media, Content Marketing and Sales which will be available in ebook format on November 17th, 2015 and in trade paper in January, 2016.

Recently, after spending 25 years in Ottawa, Canada, my husband Paul and I, (along with our two dogs) relocated to Nova Scotia where we opened a co-working Space called L-INK’D in Annapolis Royal and we’re building our dream home on the ocean. in my own retail store.
