Status quo is a cherished institution.  And yes, I do attack the status quo on a regular basis.  Well, I wouldn’t use the word attack so much as the word challenge.  

Tom Fishburne at Marketoonist gets the importance of being an iconoclast.

His tongue in cheek cartoons make fun of status quo thinking on a regular basis.

I love this one on innovation (or the lack thereof).

What happens in your staff meetings when someone comes up with a new idea that challenges the status quo?

Be an iconoclast.  Challenge the status quo.
